Ming Chuan University 2024-25 AY 2nd Semester Digital Self-Learning Course Subsidy Application

To meet the learning needs of the digital era, encourage students to explore diverse learning fields, and actively seek learning opportunities that align with their personal development goals, MCU has launched the "Digital Self-Learning Course Subsidy Application" to support students in choosing suitable courses and continuously improving themselves.

  1. Application Regulations:

(1) Course Platforms:

Choose globally recognized learning platforms such as Coursera, edX, FutureLearn, Udacity, etc., and obtain a "Verified Certificate" through certified payment within the specified semester period for application. Once you complete the course and receive the certificate, you can apply for a subsidy from the Higher Education Sprout Project Office. The courses taken must be reviewed and confirmed by the university for appropriateness of both course content and platform.

(2) Eligible Applicants: Currently enrolled students of this university.

(3) Application Period:

Subsidy applications are processed by semester. For 2024-25 AY Second Semester, the application period is from July 14 to July 31, 2025 before 5:00 PM. The application period for 2025-26 AY First Semester will be announced separately.

(4) Required Documents: During the open application period, fill out the Google form ( https://reurl.cc/9DLaEj ) and upload:

    • Course certificate (completion certificate)
    • Official payment proof document

(5) Subsidy Amount:

    1. The maximum subsidy for a single course certificate is NT$2,000.
    2. If platform access rights were purchased on a monthly basis, you can apply for a subsidy for the study period of any course completion certificate.
    3. The maximum total subsidy per person per year is NT$4,000.

(6) Number of Available Subsidies:

There are 80 subsidy slots available. Opportunities are limited, so please take advantage of this chance. The number of approved subsidies may be adjusted in the future based on the annual budget.

  1. Other Important Notes:

(1) Document Integration:

Please combine the course certificate and payment proof into a single file, arranged in proper page order. The file should be named using your "Student ID Number" and uploaded in PDF format.

(2) Subsidy Scope:

This subsidy only applies to certificates from paid courses and purchased courses. Limited-time free courses or courses that become free after discounts are not eligible for subsidies. Whether you obtain certificates for individual courses or through monthly subscription payments, you must provide purchase documentation and completion certificates to ensure the legitimacy and validity of your application.

(3) Payment Proof Requirements:

Payment proof must be provided by the course platform and include your name, purchased item(s), purchase amount, purchase date, and platform name. This ensures transparency and authenticity throughout the application process.

(4) Application Completeness:

To ensure smooth processing of your application, please make sure to complete the form fully and upload the correct documents. If information is incomplete or does not comply with relevant rules, the application will not be processed, and no further notification will be given.
